Eco Friendly Promotional Products for Companies
Genuinely eco friendly promotional products: pieces people use for years, materials you can explain and no surplus units. Many product families in the catalogue come in steel, organic cotton, RPET or bamboo; if you cannot find what you need, we can source it to order.
Sustainable is what does not get thrown away
Eco friendly promotional products are full of green labels on throwaway items. The real sustainability of a product with your logo comes down to two things: how long it lasts and how many extra units are produced. A steel bottle used for five years has less impact than a biodegradable pen that gets lost in a month.
That is why it makes sense to choose for durability first and material second, and to order only what you are going to hand out. The minimum is 10 units per reference, and for clothing you can request a quote before finalising the size split and adjust it later with the size chart, instead of buying extra sizes just in case.
Eco materials and where they fit best
| Material | Best for | What to check | Recommended branding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stainless steel | Flasks, bottles and reusable cups | Double wall if it is insulated, and that it genuinely replaces single-use bottles | Laser engraving |
| Organic cotton | Tote bags, T-shirts and sweatshirts | A weight that is high enough to last, and the certification stated by the manufacturer | Screen printing or embroidery |
| Recycled polyester (RPET) | Backpacks, umbrellas, wash bags and foldaway bags | The percentage of recycled material shown on the product sheet | Transfer, screen printing or embroidery |
| Recycled paper | Notebooks, pads and diaries | That the inner pages are recycled, not just the cover | One-colour print or debossing |
| Bamboo, wood and cork | Eco pens, desk accessories and notebook covers | Wood from controlled sources (FSC) where the manufacturer states it | Laser engraving |
Eco friendly promotional items that do the job
- Steel bottles, flasks and mugs with an engraved logo: they replace the plastic bottle across the office. Models and capacities in custom bottles and mugs.
- Heavyweight or organic cotton bags that stand up to the weekly shop for years, and RPET foldaway bags that stay in a handbag as a spare.
- Recycled paper notebooks and bamboo, cardboard or recycled plastic pens, branded in one colour.
- Organic cotton or recycled polyester clothing, with the logo embroidered so it stands up to washing.
- Lunch boxes, cutlery and reusable cups for people who eat or have coffee at the office: every use means one less single-use container.
- Custom backpacks and RPET umbrellas: larger, high-use items where recycled material makes more sense.
How to add your logo without ruining the product
- Laser engraving on steel, bamboo and wood: no inks, no wear, and the logo lasts as long as the product does.
- Screen printing on clothing and bags, in one or two colours: less ink and a more understated logo. If you prefer water-based inks, mention it when you request the quote.
- Embroidery on T-shirts, polos and sweatshirts: thread instead of ink, and it stands up to washing.
- One-colour printing on recycled paper, for notebooks and pads.
- A small, one-colour logo: it uses less material, sits better on the product and makes it more likely to be used for longer.
How to stop your merchandise looking like greenwashing
Three mistakes turn an eco friendly promotional gift into the opposite: calling it eco without any facts behind it, choosing a green material for something nobody will use, and overproducing. Before you mention it on the card or in your sustainability report, ask for the composition and the certification stated by the manufacturer for each item, and communicate only what you can prove. A specific line such as «stainless steel bottle to replace plastic ones» is more convincing than a generic badge.
Shipping matters too: group units by site instead of placing several small orders. And if you would rather let each person choose their gift so nothing is left over, Pekata’s gift platform does that.
